GoMassive Climate Accelerator 2023
MEF's cloud-native climate-tech accelerator, run in strategic association with AWS India and Climate Angels. A 4-week hybrid program for early-stage Indian startups — combining a 3-day Bengaluru bootcamp with virtual workshops and $25K in AWS Activate credits per startup.
About GCA
The GoMassive Climate Accelerator 2023 (GCA '23) is MEF's cloud-native climate-tech accelerator — engineered to scale early-stage Indian startups that use cloud computing, data analytics, and digital technology to drive climate outcomes. Built in strategic association with Amazon Web Services India and Climate Angels, GCA '23 was designed for the emerging category of startups where technology infrastructure is the unlock: ventures building carbon accounting platforms, ESG tracking tools, smart grid systems, precision agri-analytics, and EV fleet optimization that need serious cloud scale to work. The programme targeted bootstrapped teams and early-stage ventures that had raised less than $5 million.
Applications opened in September 2023 across six climate-tech verticals: low-carbon transport (EV ecosystems, smart logistics, fleet optimization), sustainable agriculture (precision farming, climate-resilient agri-tech, crop-yield analytics), digital solutions for sustainability (carbon accounting, ESG software, green enterprise tools), sustainable cities (smart grids, micro-mobility, urban resource efficiency), industrial decarbonization (energy management software, supply chain tracking, factory emissions reduction), and clean energy (renewable integration, virtual power plants, battery analytics). The programme ran as a 4-week hybrid: a 3-day in-person bootcamp in Bengaluru for intensive networking, peer collaboration, and initial evaluation, followed by multi-week virtual workshops on product engineering, system design, leadership growth, and financial scaling. The accelerator closed formally on December 22, 2023.
Every selected startup received $25,000 in AWS Activate credits — no equity dilution — to scale cloud infrastructure, manage big data pipelines, and test machine learning models. That was paired with direct technical mentorship from AWS India software engineers and cloud architects. Beyond the technical layer, startups received one-on-one strategy sessions with marquee investors, UN professionals, and domain experts. The programme concluded with a Demo Day pitching founders directly to India's leading venture capital syndicates and institutional climate funds.
