About AgroX

AgroXlerate is MEF's equity-free, fee-free climate-tech accelerator for India's agricultural sector — built on the conviction that India's farming economy sits at a double exposure: immense climate vulnerability and a persistent tech gap that generalist programs don't close. Agriculture isn't a vertical to tack onto a standard startup accelerator. It carries its own regulatory landscape, its own financing constraints, and its own climate risk profile — from erratic monsoons and soil degradation to post-harvest losses and cold-chain failure. Co-hosted with Pantnagar Capital, Climate Angels, and the GoMassive Earth Network, AgroXlerate scouts early-stage agri-tech startups and turns viable ideas into investor-ready businesses — without taking equity or charging fees.

Participating startups enter a 10–12-week intensive online bootcamp — two structured digital sessions per week — covering business model refinement, regulatory navigation, and technical scaling. The cohort is organized across six climate-agri sub-sectors: PhytoGenix (agricultural biotechnology), CropCapital (agri-finance and yield optimization), AgriStream (hardware and software for upstream cultivation), GrainFlow (supply chain, cold-chain, and post-harvest tech), PrecisionGrow (smart farming, AI-driven pest detection, and precision agri-tech), and ClimateCrop (technologies at the intersection of regional climate change and food security). The program concludes with an in-person Demo Day where top ventures pitch directly to active VCs and climate investors.

AgroXlerate draws on MEF's climate ecosystem to connect startups with practitioners who understand the sector at depth. Mentors like Hemendra Mathur — Venture Partner at Bharat Innovation Fund and Co-founder of ThinkAg — bring direct access to institutional funding pathways and India's agri-tech investor community. Pantnagar Capital and Climate Angels anchor the investor side, ensuring the Demo Day is a real capital event, not a pitch exercise.
